EmTek Racing News - 2004

04/09/2004 - Phakisa Regional Race News

As has become customary the last round of the regional championship held at Phakisa was a huge success. The number of entries was slightly down but still there was great racing to be had. This round also included the invaluable services of the National Factory riders who were there to test and setup for the forthcoming National. This proved to be a great success as all the National riders "pulled in" on the last lap thus ensuring that the championship standing were not affected at all - in other words it was business as usual.

A Big Thanks to the National riders for this great sportmanship.

On another note the lap times at all the rounds continue to be shattered in 6 of the 9 classes at this round. Check out the Lap Records page on this site.

EmTek Racing had a great day with both riders notching up some impressive times (although the age factor is now creeping in at a rate of knots). The second heat always seems to take its toll and both riders tend to lose about 2 to 3 places.

Still the bikes and the riders came home in one piece.
