11/11/2003 - Sheridan takes 600cc Silvercup Championship - 2003

Pietersburg hosted the final race of the 2003 Regional season.

We have obtained the provisional results from MSA, and although Sheridan did not race the final race for the year, because of his previous triumphs, his lead was large enough to still enable him to be indicated as the 600cc Silvercup Champion for the season.

Sheridan is readiying himself to finish the National season with racing at Kyalami on 21st November 2003, the final race.

He expects to do well enough in the final race to secure the National Privateer trophy for the 2003 season.

This will be some feat (if he can manage it) as it will mean that he will be the National Privateer and Regional 600cc Silvercup Champion in the same year.

He only needs a good finish to accomplish this mission as he already leads the Privateer championship going into the last race.
